A recent request for comment from the FCC based on a request from CTIA (the US mobile operator’s trade association) caused quite an interesting discussion on the USA Today site today. It seems the mobile operators believe that cell towers should have the same prioritized access to power and telecom service as hospitals, water treatment plants and the like. The phone companies of course, disagree.
