At the Polycom User Group meeting in Orlando this week, the company also announced an H.323 to SIP gateway to enable legacy H.323 systems to interoperate with unified communications-oriented applications such as Microsoft OCS, voicemail servers or popular IP PBXs which require SIP support.
This product is not really useful for dual-stack (supports both [[SIP]] and [[H.323]] signalling protocols) devices such as most modern HD and telepresence units, but really enables sophisticated legacy H.323 networks to gradually support SIP applications and services.
