In an amazing showing how consumers feel about the 95 Congressional candidates who supported Net Neutrality by signing the Progressive Change Campaign Committee’s manifesto that “In Congress, I’ll fight to protect Net Neutrality for the entire Internet—wired and wireless—and make sure big corporations aren’t allowed to take control of free speech online.”, the Wall Street Journal reports that all of the 95 representatives taking this pledge, lost in the November election results.
L. Gordon Cravitz goes on to explain that it is entirely incredulous that the regulator (FCC) would actually get out of the censorship business and into the protection of free speech business and suggests instead that the FCC would be better off trying to stimulate competition among the broadband network providers and not trying to protect the development of unknown developments and innovations.
