We all know that many mobile enterprise users will adopt the iPhone. Despite Gartner's rants, AT&T's retail outlets, 2-year contracts and the stickiness of the BlackBerry experience, it will come to pass. Remember, at one time Gartner thought PCs were a high TCO method of computing… it will happen, and how prepared will you and your IT organization be?
Rather than hide behind the claim that the 'iPhone is only for consumers' like the FMC vendors or wait until customers call in with support problems like Cisco, Aruba Networks has a better idea:
Test the product beforehand, certify it as compliant and announce it.
