Leftover Note from Lotusphere

Mike Rhodin in his keynote at Lotusphere gave a few statistics of interest to this blog:

750 of 760 CEOs in the annual IBM CEO survey said that 'collaborative innovation' was their #1 concern and #1 priority.

What does 'collaborative innovation' mean? Must be the work product of a group of people collaborating.

Mike also said that '60-70% of employees today work in locations that are in different places than their managers.'

This is one that I find hard to believe. Maybe in IBM that may be true, but not in the food service, healthcare,  software, education and public sector industries. In these industries, even in large companies, only 1 employee/site has a manager in a different location.
